Dinner Flights to the Historic Manor House at Ken-Caryl Ranch
From Centennial Airport enjoy a stunning tour of the Denver’s Skyline and view the dramatic sandstone monoliths which serve as a history book of animal and plant life in the area for the past 250 million years. We will then land at the Manor House in the heart of Ken Caryl Valley where you and your party will enjoy a true 5 star dining experience.
The Manor House has a colorful 93-year history of entertaining presidents, celebrities and industrial chieftains. Now it can be your setting for the most memorable experience of your life. Large windows open on the pinnacles of Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the dramatic Front Range. The house boasts original electricity and plumbing from the early 19th century, several private rooms for groups or intimate dinners, and a gorgeous patio area. Menu favorites include thick, juicy slabs of salmon stuffed with Brie and crab, New York strip steak and signature roast prime rib.
The historic Manor House is an American-Georgian, Southern-style mansion built in 1914 by industrialist and newspaper tycoon John Shaffer. It was built at the highest point of his 10,000 acres utilized for breeding Hereford cattle. Shaffer entertained dignitaries (including President Teddy Roosevelt) from around the world. He named the estate Ken-Caryl Ranch after his sons, Kent and Carroll. After the 1920s, ownership of the land and Manor House changed many times until Johns Manville Corporation acquired it in 1971 to build their world headquarters and develop a planned residential community. After purchasing the Manor House in the 1990s, the Peterson family operated a restaurant-event center until Michael Shinn acquired it in March, 2006. Today it remains one of Denver’s premier places for special events, weddings and fine dinning.
