Colorado ranked 10th on the list in 2006, according to revised BEA data. But personal income grew more slowly in Colorado than elsewhere. The state’s 3.9 percent growth rate put Colorado 45th among the 50 states in 2007 in terms of growth. In 2006, per-capital personal income growth was 5 percent, putting Colorado in 31st place.
Colorado’s population increased 2 percent in 2007, the same growth rate as in 2006, the BEA said. Personal income is defined as income received from all sources, including net earnings, rental income, dividend and interest income.
